Gideon Academy began in 2007. It is rooted in the foundation of American Education that God must be included in every part of our lives. Since the birth of our school, it has been helping students and their families continue to develop and maintain trust in God for their education. Gideon is now a ministry of Christ Centered Church Bakersfield, Inc.

Gideon Academy was established in 2007 by Pastors Aniceto and Juanita Hernandez with a clear mission: to provide students with a quality, Christ Centered education in an environment where every child can learn, grow, and thrive.
Through prayer and fasting, God opened the door for Gideon Academy to make its home at 1316 Shafter Road. From the beginning, the school has remained committed to serving families by providing affordable tuition without compromising academic excellence or biblical values.
Gideon Academy operates under the umbrella of Christ Centered Church, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Under the leadership of Pastor Aniceto Hernandez, the church leadership and governing board work together to guide students toward academic discovery, spiritual growth, and a lifelong love of learning.
Pastors Aniceto and Juanita Hernandez, along with the staff of Gideon Academy, are passionate about encouraging and inspiring the next generation. We believe the disciples of today will become the disciple-makers of tomorrow—equipped to lead with faith, integrity, and a commitment to preserving a life of holiness for generations to come.
